The Meaning Behind The Name
Our Amazon rug mirrors the richness and diversity of its namesake, The Amazon Rainforest. A tribute to the wildlife within the forest, from the monkeys, to the majestic jaguars, colourful parrots and the sloths. Just as the forest is a vital ecosystem to us, the amazon rug is the same for your horses keeping them warm and dry against natures elements.

Out turnout rugs boast a 3000mm waterproof and the breathability ranges from 3000-8000 MVT (Molar Value Transmission). The MVT is measured in gms/m2/24 Hours. The higher the MVT value the more breathable the fabric is.
All turnouts have a PU coating inside which is Hydrophilic (Water Loving) in nature, drawing excess sweat and moisture to it. The temperature difference between the air inside and outside of the rug then forces moisture outwards. During heavy rain fall the pores in the outer layer of the rug are covered in water making it impossible for air inside the rug to escape, at that moment in time the rug is in a 0 breathability state, causing sweat inside the rug, this can sometimes be mistaken for a leaking rug.
All waterproof rugs have taped seams at the stitching joints however it is not possible to tape seam or heat-seal every stitching, webbing or fastening from water penetration.
