The Meaning Behind The Name
The name double vision comes from one of Estherโs childhood ponies who sadly passed away in 2024 at the grand old age of 24. Double Vision aka Spirit gained his show name due to his incredibly unique identical markings on both sides of his body. Esther owned spirit from 2 years old and produced and backed him herself when she was only young. Throughout his career Spirit went on to be an incredible little horse with multiple podium placings during his competition years. After many years of teaching younger children the ropes within eventing he returned home for his well earned retirement. Although they say you are not meant to have a favourite, I am sure Estherโs mum would agree that he was a little ray of sunshine and definitely one of her favourites to own.

Our turnout rugs boast a 3000mm waterproof and the breathability ranges from 3000-8000 MVT (Molar Value Trasmission). The MVT is measured in gms/m2/24 Hours. The higher the MVT value the more breathable the fabric is. All turnouts have a PU coating inside which is Hydrophilic (Water Loving) in nature, drawing excess sweat and moisture to it. The temperature difference between the air inside and outside of the rug then forces moisture outwards. During heavy rain fall the pores in the outer layer of the rug are covered in water making it impossible for air inside the rug to escape at that moment in time the rug is in a 0 breathability state, causing sweat inside the rug, this can sometimes be mistaken for a leaking rug.
All Waterproof rugs have taped seams at the stitching joints however it is not possible to tape seam or heat-seal every stitching, webbing or fastening from water penetration.
